What is Zed?
Zed is a minimal code editor created by the team behind Atom and Tree-sitter. Built from scratch in Rust, it is designed to leverage GPU acceleration and multiple CPU cores to deliver fast editing, code navigation, and tool execution.
The editor combines real-time collaboration features with AI integration. Developers can chat, code together, and share screens or projects with teammates, while also running AI agents in parallel to navigate and edit files across macOS, Linux, and Windows.
